Resent Allegro Tourniment held at The Edinburgh Chess Club on sunday the 20th March My games were against Bill Falconer 1468 I won this game was down a knight but Bill slipped up and allowed me to fork Queen and King in the end game I was a rook up against a few pawns Bill resigns, Phew...

Game two was against Dave Wilson 1650 hard game for me and dave soon took control and it was quiet an easy win for him.

Game three was against Nigel Chapman 1568 another strong player did not do well in this game either same as above well done to Nigel no probs there.

Time for another win: game four was against Jamie Oconner a young man graded 1362 this game went my way quiet quick but was the most exciting time threating game I have ever played, I was about five minutes up on time and up a knight but as the game was coming to a conclusion I made a foul move as I was checked and did not notice and Jamie claimed a time penalty of two minutes which as both our flags were up and we were down to just a few minutes each so the time penalty was very important I got a fork with his king and rook then Jamie run out of time Phew that was tense

Cool pictures Jim.  I wanted to play in this event but I didn't have time! Frown

You had a nice win against a tough player.  Nigel Chapman is also a very strong player but I don't recognise any of the other games.  Playing against players of that quality will help your game though. Cool
