 ALHAMRA is a palace and fortress complex located in the Granada, Andalusia, Spain. It was constructed during the mid 14th century by the Moorish rulers of the Emirate of Granada in al-Andalus, occupying the top of the hill of the Assabica on the southeastern border of the city of Granada.

I can't find the right words to describe it ...Hope you will enjoy the album...I did my best!!! Undecided

    Amazing!  Great pictures, too.  I always enjoy your photo posts, Paula, as you and your family travel to some of the most unique places.  What's especially interesting is the Middle Eastern influence that can be seen in the architecture, probably from when the Ottoman Empire occupied Spain.  Anyway, Merry Christmas!
