Your chess set is awsome....and the board (table) as well...what is the material?? Up and down is a golden metal but the middle????

Thank you. My wife basically made the choice on her own (I didn't know I was getting a set), and I think she did great!

The board is made of burl and mahogany. The pieces are made of some sort of heavy metal along with a sort of reddish resin in the middle. It almost looks like cherry wood, but I'm not really sure.

Your wife had a good intuition and she have a good taste....It's a great masterpiece ..I think it looks lovely in your leaving room...Very good idea....I think Is a pleasure playing chess with it...
