hi there buddy i,am a chess player since 1972. i came open chess when i was 14 and in high school.I was introduced to the game by another high school person by the name of David Arstead. he was  a complete stranger to me but i said ok what is chess he said come down to the chess club it was being run by my geometry teacher( RONALD SHRIVER). HE asked me if i new who the world chess champion was, i said no of course. He said bobby fischer an american had just beat Borris spassky for the world championship. i said ok i would meet him at the  chess club that very night sept 9 1972. I told him i knew nothing of the game but if he taught me how to play i would give the game a try. He showed me how the pieces moved on the chess board and then he asked me to play. well he put me in check forking my qween, rook and king and said this is whats called a royal fork. I was hooked , he had beaten me very easily and the fighting spirit in my brain said to me learn the game and get better and beat your teacher:) THE REST IS HISTORY. I WENT ON TO DEFEAT DAVID AND GO ON TO DEFEAT MASTERS OF THIS GAME. I just want to thank him for comming up to a sranger he did ,nt know and introduce me to the game.                                  I took a look at your pictures and i have to say i enjoyed your zest for life. It is great to see the freedom of our american way of life. P.S AWAYS REMEMBER BOBBY FISCHER FOR WHO HE WAS. I NEVER GOT TO SHAKE HIS HAND , BUT FOR ME HE WILL ALWAYS BE THE GREATEST CHESS PLAYER OF ALL TIME. i never got to see him in person or play him a game. HE IS ON THE OTHER SIDE NOW SOME DAY I WILL JOIN HIM . I SEE YOU AS A WINNER NOT ONLY IN CHESS BUT YU LIFE AS YOU ARE LIVING IT.:)
