I decided to play the Bird opening for one year as a sort of homage to Charlie "Yardbird" Parker.  About six months in to my little 'experiment' I realized that the two completely separate entities shared more than a name... Both were and remain under appreciated, marginalized, and most importantly misunderstood!  I am a perpetual novice; would never claim otherwise, but I have managed some impressive wins due to my opponent's lack of familiarity with dancing in Birdland :-)

hi, any real artist always realizes that they should always have the novice mindset. claygirl

your game theory is rather "unsound" (no pun intended)  but it is interesting

fun to play against- it is very jazz like.-it keeps you on your toes claygirl
