Hello;

I can see why you don't approve of computers getting into the game of Chess. True, it "de-humanizes" the game, but I believe that Chess in computers should not be taken too seriously. I think they introduced computers to Chess... to SIMULATE human thought processes, as in VIRTUAL thinking immitating the species of "homo sapiens". Or the human thought processes.

This may have been done to introduce the facet of VARIETY in the game of Chess. Maybe to see if computers can approach that level of the thought process that a human can introduce and develop into it's physical equivalence "out there." That is, that sixty-four square piece of board, otherwise known as the Chessboard.

Since I am just learning how to play Chess, maybe I can't speak too outwardly about the game. And so, as I learn how to play the game of Chess,  I am able to gain an insight into just what CHESS is all about.

Also, I learned that playing against a computer and playing against a very strong human player is like comparing "apples" and "oranges". They are far and DISTINCT from one another.

These are my two cents worth of opinion on the subject matter.

Thank you,
