I just wish I needed more equipment so I could have the pleasure of going through this awesome site again(okay, and because my addiction to chess makes me yearn for more stuff).  Navigation, ordering, shipping, packaging, customer service, speed of delivery, quality, price -- all perfect.

I've purchased over a dozen chess clocks, 5 demo boards, over 60 boards and endless amounts of pieces from WholesaleChess.com and from the packaging to the delivery the order is beyond perfect.  Their staff is beyond friendly and I after (bidding through other vendors) am hook with WholesaleChess.com for their most inexpensive prices among all competitors and the quality of business.  I have no reservations in further purchasing from them.

I bought 2 heavy duty vinyl boards, 2 bags to hold pieces, and 2 sets of the "Heavy tournament pieces" for my kids.  I was thrilled with the quality for cheap sets, and how low the price was.  And more importantly, my kids were thrilled to play with "real" pieces.  They love the feel of the weighted pieces.

wholesalechess.com is the only place ive found that offers tournament chess sets for around $10.  actually, the ones i get i get for like $8 - board AND pieces!

wsc.com is super nice too.  they called me to tell me that an order had a complication with the shipping, instead of just replying with a canned email.  they shipped my sets super FAST too!

the only complaint i have with them is that they dont offer green and BUFF boards. they only offer green and grey.

I have had only positive experiences with this organization! A little over a year ago I decided to upgrade to a digital clock. The first one I ordered stopped working properly after one or two games. I returned it and receieved a credit toward another clock (I decided to go with something a bit better this time). Unfortunately, the second clock I was interested in was out of stock and they had discontinued carrying it. I finally settled on a Chronos clock, placed my order via e-mail and received my WONDERFUL clcok soon afterwards. I purchase most of my door prizes for Golden Isles Scholastic Chess Association (GISCA) tournaments from Wholesale Chess.  They have a very good selection, helpful staff, and send out merchandise quickly.  I have been pleased with the products that I have purchased from them.  They also do honor "price matching", so they are a good "one-stop shop".

On my personal favorite top 3 stores, this is number 1.  The best prices, fast shipping (all the way to Michigan), just the best.  My latest purchase was the Large Drueke Chess Box.  Beautiful.  Now my pieces have a home.  Previous orders were for Hastings and Marshall chess sets (both Ivory and natural.).  I like to combine the sets----love the Marshall Rooks and the Hastings Knights.  I will soon place an order with them for the Collector Series so I can have a 3.75 inch King with a larger Filial (the one on the Marshall set is too small  (no jokes about my chess set wanting to compensate for something too small, please)).

Anyway, this is the top chess store on the internet.  Never had any problems.  You can't go wrong.

i have spent over a thousand dollars  with WSC and every order i have placed as been perfect other than defective items from manufacture which is not their fault . The Shipping deals every 60-90 days free shipping over 50 dollars is great! and the step pricing how can u beat it. Their inside sales person Lynda is the best they have and is right on the ball.

Wholesale Chess is quite good -- very good prices, good quality, and a wide selection.  I would agree with a previous reviewer that the shipping charges are high relative to small purchases, but they're actually very good for larger purchases.  Their media mail option is awesome if you're ordering books, CD-ROMs, DVDs, etc.  Best of all, they have frequent sales.  On occasion, the photos don't match the actual product, and I once was charged shipping when it was supposed to be free.  (They eventually refunded me the charges.)  But overall, I think there isn't a better online chess store.

This is a good place to do business with.  Not only are their prices fair, and they will match prices as well, but their service is very good, too.  I dealt with an operator once and she was helpful and polite.  I have bought a lot of stuff from them, and the quality of their equipment is very good, as well.  I bought the best chess set that I've ever owned from them: the  Premier series "Nobility" model in ebony, on sale for $129 a few months ago, and it is a work of art.  I have seen $500 sets that don't look as fine as this set.

They have good prices but not always the best (you have to look around to see, on amchesseq.com for example they have the Saitek clock for $19 cheaper (about half price).  They sometimes offer free shipping but the rest of the time it's pretty high.

On the whole, service has been good and their customer service has been OK.

One complaint: When they're selling a board with 55 mm squares, they should state that it has 55 mm squares. Instead, they give some approximation in inches that is "close" and fail to even mention the actual measurements because they don't want to "confuse" their customers. This attitude is demeaning. I don't care that they give an approximation, but to not even mention the real measurements is beyond irresponsible. Some boards (Drueke, for one) are still made in inch measurements, so unless you really know what you're buying ahead of time, you don't really know what you're getting. Their phone agents sometimes have the wrong information even if you do ask. The end result is that after being burned a few times, and stuck for the return postage, I don't purchase boards from them.

Great variety of products, good quality, fast response!  I've ordered full-size chess sets, bags, analysis sets, and books.  I run an Elementary School chess club, so we have to go inexpensive due to small budget, but nevery been disappointed!  Kids' favorite thing is the colored pieces - red, green, blue, yellow, hot pink.  I drill a hole through the necks and put keychains on them for kids to put on their backpacks.  Really promotes the club and the game.
