How would these outdoor expensive wood chess sets hold up under severe weather. Example rain causing wet wood. Then drying out. Possibly causing cracks more rain and freezing rain in cracks causing wood to split. Extreme wind tipping over pieces. Seems like huge outlay of money for chess set that is exposed to weather that would ruin set.

teak plantation To prepare teak timbers to giant chess pieces need long times process (several months) and complex finishing. As materials, we use teak woods only, because teak is one of hardest wood from tropical.

This is more for those people who have lots of money and live in big houses. Therefore, they can have just a room for the chess board where you have to actually be in the game to move the pieces. I think its actually pretty cool, because then you sorta feel as if you are in the game with your soldiers and you are the commander! :D
