I definitely try to avoid stupid and unneccessary mistakes so it helps to concentrate.

If its just one or two people it dos'nt affect me but when its the last game being played and both players are in time trouble it really gets to me when everyone in the club is watching. You can hear every whisper and gasp and I can't concentrate. If I am winning I look for ways to do it spectacularly and impress people but usually end up losing because of it.I prefer it if no one is watching or just a couple.

When you meticulously make a brilliant move and you hear people say, "Ooooooh!", and, "Ahhhh!", it is bloody brilliant!

I like someone(more is better) looks over my game while I am playing, especially on Over The Board game. My playing strength is the same if other people are watching over my game while I am playing. However, there is some benefits if someone looks over the game in OTB. Some players cheats on OTB is different from online game. They set their clock didn't not work correctly when their time is run out, and they argue with the next move is their turn although next move is not their turn.

I might sound like a bit of a new agey freak but I swear I can feel the energy of an audience standing close around while I'm playing. It affects my inner calm and throws me off my game. I LOVE the internet. Smile
