The only thing that slows me down is my body - usually the first thing to go during aging, or so one might hope!  I have my mind though I sometimes forget things. It's strange that these small lapses in memory while doing some tasks doesn't show up in my chess play.  Perhaps that's due to constantly re-thinking the positions that arise during the game.

I played chess in high school; took it very seriously. Further schooling and chess required more then 24 hours in a day. Now retired, I returned the game again. After 47 years with only occasional games I am surprised I know how to move pawns. Never the less it is still fun as it used to be. Thank you CHESS.COM

To all you kids out there (I am 61 this September),I say this, enjoy life while you can,being young, does not last as long as you think,and once it's gone it's gone,you don't get another go.

It seems like a long time, on a day by day basis,but when you get to 60, you start to wonder where all the days went.My only wish, would be to be 11 again,but knowing what I know now.
