A*log****Man, I don't think it would be possible for you (or anyone else for that matter) to act more pompously and arrogantly as you have in this forum. Why don't you take your attitude elsewhere (unless you would like to attempt to increase your Pomposity Rating).

    @ wormrose:

So I presume that 'that' ('Laughing') incarnation must be 'you' yourself, then - hopelessly trying to dislodge that [boot-clad] foot of mine - huh? ... as 'you[!]' don't [or can't] seem to find anything else intelligent enough to reply 'here', now do ya? ...

And 'that' ('Foot in Mouth') is [only] about all you can say - huh? ...

Stupid name.  All chess is turn based.  Never seen a real time chess game.

    I like Turn-Based Chess.

Or at least that's what I call it.

Okay, then - just to comply with everyone else's 'best wishes' in regards to renaming online chess - since most of you only seem to be about as half-witted as a donkey's arse pointing to the south pole - I guess my final say of 'suggestion', in order to be 'like-minded' like yourselves here, towards satisfying the renaming of 'Online Chess' could be: 'Slower-Than-Molasses-In-January-Chess'! ... as perhaps 'that[!]' would be more apt than anything else in proving beyond a doubt, how the 'times' - and minds[!] - surely have changed, not only in the wisdom of chess thinking, but purportedly so, in the 'mere' beliefs of [those] ideas of what we only take for granted - so 'there'! ...

And that's the way 'I' see it! ...

My second suggestion is - 'Horizon Chess', for the poetically minded like many of us.

I believe a good short/nickname for Correspondence chess" could be:

    Corrchess

Most guys would understand this name without closer explainations needed.

To all those here who've 'voted' for either 'Turn-based-' or [the sucky re-naming of] 'Correspondence Chess' - both of which are not only inept or inappropriate 'suggestions', but are names that are already currently being used [towards other games/gaming sites] elsewhere - I'd only 'suggest' you all get your priorities straight, 'cause what we have in use here [currently named] as 'Online Chess' is in fact but [only] a 'long increment'-type of time control to regulate the game.

So what I'd suggest then towards renaming 'Online Chess' here (if it even needs to be) is perhaps either 'Artificial-Time Chess' or maybe even 'Campaign-Time Chess'; at least that way, someone wishing to embark on a chess game here might get the idea that they are in it for a 'long haul' ...

And that's the way 'I' see it! ...

    Agreed.

Doesn't matter wtf chess.com call it.  I still call it online correspondence (OLC), coz that's what it is.
