I like subtle shirts without logos everywhere. A chess puzzle, or just a knight, king  or queen would all be cool. Pretty much anything you do will be seen as awesome to chess players and nerdy to everyone else - which is how is should be

 a king in front of the shirt and at the bottom it said "The best king of all me".

I think this design should be on one.

Grainpsilo's idea ROCKS. I'd get that if they had it! I like the idea of a knight on the front and another piece on the back, but there's so much that someone can do with a chess motif it's a really open-ended question. Hey, why doesn't chess.com submit several designs (or maybe have a contest for the more artistically minded ones here) and the best ones win? The only absolute requirement that I can think of is that the shirts MUST be available in both black and white...of course.

Here's a suggestion:  have the chess.com logo on the front and then on the back or below the icon have "No, I'm not a nerd."

for me. i have a big back, and it would stand out more. the logo would say it all. the site is starting to get big. and it must be seen all over. the back of the shirt would fit the answer. many people in the office on dress down days and playing chess in the park with your buddy or a casual wear. looks cool to me. the colours would stand out aswell. good choice for the site. you can see everything in this site. colossus.

I don't know if it's possible, but it would be neat to be able to have a custom chess diagram put on a T-shirt.  You know, to commemorate a special victory or something.  The overhead could be the Chess.com logo and slogan.

I'd like to see something original, something funny, but also not too geeky (so also people who don't play chess understand it and think it's funny). Some people have already made some original stuff. You can find some nice ones by searching for "chess" on www.cafepress.com. For example http://www.cafepress.com/chessmotifs has some nice ones  (http://www.cafepress.com/chessmotifs/2995847). Just make up something original.

 

For Chess.com you could make a logo based around the "play. learn. share"-slogan. I'm sure the Chess.com has the creativity to make up something good :)
