What do you usually use the in-game "private notes" for?

  • General plan, text only
  • Variations and moves only
  • I fill it with both plans, moves and all kind of stuff
  • I use it only occasionally when I feel I'm going to forget something next time
  • I (almost) never use it
  • I never knew this feature existed

notes should be more conspicuous.  the entire reason for using a note would be to remember something that i might not - if it's not available on the page when i go to that game, i would never think to check the notes tab.  it should have an indicator to let you know you left a note.

I don't use it because I'll just forget I left myself a note the next time I move.

I don't use it because it's too small and doesn't have formatting. I use Evernote instead to keep track of my thoughts during the game.

I keep my on personal notepad. I have never use the in game "private notes" I like haveing it their just in case, I can use it to remind me of something about a game I may have played or the player. Also I may not allways have my notepad with me.

I use it to mark "+" after opening is ended. So, if i see "+" i know: there is no need to use opening explorer anymore.

I seldom use it, but when I do it's to remind me of something I have planned. This may be variations or text.

I use this feature intensively now, and find it really valuable.  For most moves I will assess position, think about threats and candidate moves, and come back later to explore candidate moves, before coming back at least once to double check and confirm.

When I get more serious I probably will use it more.  Don't drop the feature, please!

I too would like it in the droid app. I would also like the option to make the notes the default screen instead of chat.

I haven't used it. I just discovered it recently during my first rated game. I never noticed during all my prior unrated games. I guess an actual rated game makes you look at everything more closely... :)

My answer is none of the above ... aware of it, but never use it.  Probably not a bad idea when you have multiple games to keep track of, especially those with similiar but subtly different positions.

sometimes i don't even remember the game ("hey, how did i get here?"). so i write down my plans just to avoid thinking it all again.

p.s.: i already lost a game because i didn't remember the analysis i made and i chose a random move, being short of time.

3, but only in the case of 4.

Also in important match games I might write some sort of simple personal reminder, like stay focused, or kick butt.
