I would like to be a grandmaster one day, but I might not get there.  Regardless of whether or not I reach that status, I want to be the best I can be at chess; and with God's help, I know that will happen.

lol I think roughly 99+% of those people who want to become a Master will be disappointed. 

Well I really think I have the potential to be one, but yes, most people won't.

Seriously, "to be the best I can" isnt a good goal, its too abstract to realize. To improve at all you need a concrete goal such as "Reach 2000"

Realistically, I don't have the time to be the best I can be. I want to enjoy the game, learn, and come up with a style that lets me play good moves more naturally, and make less bad moves, and eliminate blunders.

ummmm? i am a master and i take time off in chess so my ratting is going down!!!
