From the survey results endgames seem to top, but on the contrary I think they r my strongest positions. Maybe its because its easy read the board because of all the empty squares or because I can force a draw if I cant win outright, but overall I am more comfortable getting into the endgame with any opponent in a draw position or with a slight advantage for him or me. Openings! One thing's for sure - if I flunk the opening I get a hard time during the game and often loose. That's why my immediate goal now is to master openings and the general tactics behind them. All that opens well, does end well

I think my biggest weakness is my inability to curb my impulsiveness.  I have a tendency to see my mistake only after I have completed the move by which time it is too late to retract.  Learning to repeatedly evaluate a position even when all seems well before making the move is my biggest challenge.

Calculation is tricky business! You convince yourself you've done the maths right, only to fall miserably into a losing position!

I tend to tilt quite often. can beat a player rated 2100 easily one day and lose to a player rated 1700 the other.

Do you not think that you are a good chess player just the way you are?

Endgames, particularly rook + pawn endgames or queen + pawn endgames.

Not sure what passes for passive and solid. Also not sure what is the point of points.

Successful "Violent Moves".  Proper sacrificial play is not only exciting but game winning.  I am a conservative player who wants to be able to play more like Tal.  :-)

It's better than moving too slow and losing the game by time.
