Hmm - well, I suppose a koala hardly qualifies as a famous person - but it seemed to be the best reply !

The closest accurate vote for me was "famous person", when in fact my avatar is the 1960s pill-popping cartoon superhero Underdog (the walls are closing in on him in the above image).

For those of you who love esoteric trivia, his girlfriend's name was Polly Purebred.

I think that a chess piece is a recognisable object...especially on a chess website!

None of the above! My avatar is a picture of my cat Dexter, looking confident after playing the Sicilian defense. Here's a larger, better looking b/w version of the picture: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ferdinand1977/3430853123/

I am supposing that most people can recognise what my Picture stands for, but if not I'll tell you. It reps the Brazilian national soccer team.

Well I have a photo of myself, but you can't really see me because I am sitting in a kayak in the Hudson River.... So it is a photo of myself, but not really a portrait..... Because of this I couldn't vote..

Where is the option for "semi-famous person that represents the joke that you used in selecting your name"?

I currently use a photo of myself.  I kind of wish everyone else did too.  I guess I just would like to be able to have a mental picture of who it was I was playing against and perhaps chatting with.
