Anand owns this guy.
close survey!
Where's the 'I don't care" option? :D.
I'm with ih8sens. I voted for Kramnik, but I really don't follow either player too closely, so what do I know?
Kramnik is up 4%, which is either pure coincidental or personal bias towards the player.
I really cannot tell, but Anand has been doing better lately than Kramnik, though the preparation also plays a huge role in championship performance, and can therefore not be taken as an objective measurement.
50-50
We'll just have to see who wins the actual game!
Very close survey results!!!
Vladimir classic player, so I bet he'll make it!
East or West..
India is the BEST..
I think a clash of two chess titans comes down to who prepares better. I believe Kramnik will have more wins and Vishy will have a lot of draws. After his showing in the last tournament I think his chess has lost a certain edge.
People have said that he was holding back because of this match with Kramnik...but as will all competative exploits, if you are a gamer, you always want to win.
Kramnik wins this one. Solid in ever aspect of the game, and his defense is unyeilding much like Lasker's during his long reign as champ.
I think Kramnik is the supreme matchplay player. I think you will see lots of draws with Kramnik grinding out 1 or two wins to win the match.
Wow! Close! I wonder who will win but I vote Anand!
Anand. Cool, composed and a winner
Kramnik's match history certainly speaks in his favour, the wins against Kasparov 2000, Leko 2004 and Topalov 2006 where against them when they were at their very best. It is quite possible they were all the strongest player in the world at the time, though Kramnik overcame them nonetheless. And before someone asks about it, Leko had only two losses the entire year before the match - but lost twice more in it.
Though Kramnik will be well prepared with his battery of seconds and other helpers, the scales will tilt in favour of Anand once the games begin, because Anand has an extremely good understanding of chess positions and very rarely makes a mistake of judgement. And if Anand wants to draw with black, it is little that anyone can do about that! So, what is my verdict - yes, Anand.
I quote Pavrey "...the scales will tilt in favour of Anand once the games begin, because Anand has an extremely good understanding of chess positions and very rarely makes a mistake of judgement."
...and Kramnik doesn't understand chess positions and usually makes mistakes? I think Kramnik will win, Anand has already shown himself to be vulnerable under pressure this year, and despite Kramnik not playing particularly well either he is still better poised in my opinion. There is more pressure on Anand to win because he is the World Champion and taking everything into account I would be surprised if Anand won.
Kramnik all the way.
Better endgames, play under time pressure and imagination. I'm happy the voting is so close and hope the match is too :-)
Kramnik beat Kasparov.
I KNOW AND DONT CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
