Problem ID: 0020614
this problem is broken, i did it correctly, in 19 seconds (score of 82%) and i got a -12 to my rating. wtf?
solved in 6 seconds and im 1500 (used to be 1700) easy
The puzzle I did just before this one had a comment, "Chess.com's favorite tactic: a Queen sacrifice followed by a Rook and Bishop mate." Yep.
I solved it without looking properly, I thought it was a 1 move mate and never saw the bishop until it took the queen....all worked out good though!!!
It's Euwe vs Loman game (1924)
sarcifice and mate, so camouflare
Another nice queen sacrifice, it just never gets old.
josh, it's not stupid because if you play Qh7+, the knight can be used to block and the mate is gone. I know because I did it wrong myself
I just had 3 Qeen sac problems in a row.
Score: 100% PERFECT!!!
My Rating: 1660 (+22)
I have a very strong feeling that I did the same puzzle a few months ago with the queen somewhere else.
My timer got me haha. -8 still got it right
Looked at the problem: theres the easy mate! Looked again: Oh nevermind, darn diagonal. Looked again: Wait, doesnt matter it still works!
Same as jbgargamel ... there's the easy mate ... hang on, darn bishop on the diagonal ... look for something else ... 2 minutes later ... oh it still works! Problem solved but scored -7.
