Problem ID: 0020856
What??? i have tried this problem 2nd time..?? why?
Either he takes with pawn and you mate. or he takes with rook and you have a queen vs rook.
I also think this is a duplicate, I've gotten this exact problem before.
seemed familiar for me too
I do not believe Tactics Trainer is programmed to specifically skip problems that you have already tried...I always thought it was randomized within the rating class and simply because of the sheer number of problems you rarely faced one you've already done (or at least remember). I also have seen this one before nonetheless.
I've seen this one before too but I think last time rook took rook.
Also not the first time i've seen a problem twice.I
lol, its second time for me too, got it the two times
And now I am absolutely sure I've gotten it before, since I see my comment up there from 7 months ago. :-)
got it late. really interesting puzzle!
love this one! A+
a cruel back rank trick.
"The ground shakes, drums... drums in the deep."
White has a problem with back rank. See that and you can get some points. This is a really challenging problem.
There are "only" several thousand problems in this rating range so getting a repeat tactic will happen from time to time, just as it does in games.
THANKS A LOT! Back to the 1600s.
"We cannot get out. A shadow moves in the dark."
I've seen this one before too but last white move RxR.
