Problem ID: 0056099
i think that you should get positive points if you trade a knight for both rooks by doing Nxd1, then Ra1+
There is another solution for mate in three almost the same: 2... Ba1 instead of 2...Ba3. and all the rest is the same. I moved 2. Ba1 and I failed the problem. that is wrong. 2...Ba1 should be an alternative move.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that if you play 2...Ba1, then white will follow with Kxa2... seems like it's going to be hard after that...
And if you trade your knight for a rook then you can't protect e4... so mate will be more difficult.
In my humble opinion...
Atinau - I also played 2...Ba1, but now see that 2...Ba3 is the correct play. 2...Ba3 prevents Kc1, and give the only mate in 3.
very nice checkmate
i went #2 ba3 and the puzzle wouldnt compute it. why is this?
love king hunts!
did the problem change? Kxa2 is not available as an option hanuman3
2...Ba1+ 3. Kc1 and the king can escape after 3...Bb2+ 4.Kd2
That was a lot of fun!
Like chasin' the King down the rabbit hole...and no nasty snakes along the way.
I went night D5 before bishof H3 what leads to decisive material win. Also a 100% win.
I think that leads to loss of two knights.
I had a better material win with 2..Nxf8 but was rewarded -6, I didnt see the mate in 30 sec.
just did it again got it
Do people actually see that mate before the first move or just discover it along the way?
Sometimes before starting, sometimes move by move.
