Argh! I tried two different approaches to the rook/bishop and didn't even see the mate!
My little brother messed me up!
7 seconds...6 of which I spent thinking "this is too easy, obvious mate in 1? There must be a catch". Usually (at this rating) there's some wayward queen, rook or bishop on the far-edge of the board protecting the mate square. I suppose TT making me check the entire board before launching an attack is a good thing.
exact same here Mix.
easiest puzzle i have gotten :)
Please be relevant, helpful & nice!
40% must take the bishop. Checks, captures, threats. In that order.
Very easy, but i ' ve missed it, why sometimes i dont see these simple moves?

Well, that is just a basic mating pattern with rook and knight.
White is up a rook in the starting position. Why would anybody capture White's bishop? Then he could simply recapture with the knight. Although Black can capture his rook then; analysis board plays it quite differently though. Anyways, mating is clearly the best option.
