Step 1. Observe that the Knight is threatened and move it to a safe location with check.
Step 2. Notice that the two Bishops are en prise and line up the Rook to attack them.
Step 3. Capture one Bishop and add a protector to the Knight.

This problem would be even better if it proceeded three moves further - 4. Re1 Nf4 5. Rxe5 Nd3+ 6.Ke3 Nxe5.

yes but then the puzzle might get too big, they can just make another puzzle starting at this position
nope, i've seen a few 8 move puzzles, three more would be well within an acceptable number of moves

Whoa, you're right, there is a knight fork threatening in the next few moves... Nice observation, but it shouldn't be part of this puzzle since then there would be two tactics you'd need to correctly solve to get credit for one tactics problem.

Didn't get it..I thought I might have had more than just to take a bishop...
