True. Will we start round 2 before the anniversary of the start of this tournament?

Almost finished my games, even a draw is enough, so for me, they may do the names in the jar and shake for the next round!

For those who wonder how long the remaining players could take to finish their games.... There is the 50move rule.... So starting from move 44 (when last a pawn was taken) and 5 pawns still the board it follows that at move 5 x 50 + 44 there must be a reglementary draw. This would then take 5 x 50 x 3 x 2 = 1500 days. Unless of course both players take their entitled leave that accumulates during the match which comes to 1500 / 14 = 107 days. Therefore on 4.5 years from today ( give or take a month ) we start with round2 for certain.

After a long time waiting, now another game has just finished. A game needs only 1 move left to checkmate, and 2 other games white is about to promote. Just be patience, guys.

Great, the round-1-unfinished-players has been taking a month to play since only 4 games left in round 1! Now they can take 1 or 2 months more, or even play until fall comes!

I'm sorry. Maybe I was wrong. Or maybe the system was wrong.

    For Simon1947

Yes, someone has a standing of 11-0-0. Strange. But when you take a look at him/her player summary, you will see that he was only have 10 won games. But don't worry. Whatever the score is 11 or 10, it will change nothing. He/she advanced and go to the next round, the others of his/her pairing eliminated

Hey, summer has come! People will be "on vacation" and the game will be longer. A lot of games in round 2 will be like that, I think.

only 4 games left, be patience guys. Only a couple of days more, or 1 month, if longest

Tournaments are always this way (very slow).  It's like being chased by a bear.  You don't have to be the fastest, but you sure don't ever want to be the slowest!
