Alright, so when does this thing progress?

Who will have a higher tiebreak will go to next turn. Tiebreak is the sum of scores of your lose opponents.

PimpSlap, do not afraid and click on resign button before your opponents, and all thoughts will be about travel.

    PimpSlap

Aman, winning from here will not be difficult (atleast from here), its just that I am not going to be travelling in a couple of days and dont have net access ... I might end up losing this on time coz of that ..

None the less, I guess I just wrote that as a rant, ofcourse the system still might believe that there is a chance of a stale mate!

PimpSlap...just win the game.  Why are you afraid you'll lose it on time?

Folks, please check my game with Beaufeet from this tournament. I am a Rook, Bishop and 2 Pawns vs King and a Pawn, and that bugger refuses to resign.

I cant excercise vacation and I feel m gonna lose that game on time .. is there any way chess.com can auto assign me that win?

slrocheleau I just ran your game through houdini 3 i honestly don't think he is using any program,But it does reccommend Nf4 as it's first choice,I think you just presented the options to him

BTW scofield_vn  next move will be Nf4...

scofield_vn is copying a computer to make his moves against me in our first and second game. If anyone else has played him and feels the same way please speak up. I would like for our games to be ran through chess.coms' system and have him banned. I pay money to play on this site and the is bull sh*t! I brought my ipad to my USCF meet and my directer ran it through houdini 3 and said yes he was using some sort of computer system to make his moves. Any advise before our final game is complete and before he does this to others?

hey!  to my excellent opponents but I have been in and out of the hospital for several weeks now and I am not playing my best nor keeping up with you.  Please except the delays I only have two more trips and I should be better.  I will try to make daily moves so you guys can get on with the tournament.  Thanks again  Papa.

I think along the same lines as you Sean. It's a small sample size but so far there are 47 games completed in the 2201-2400 rating tournament.

    White Wins: 19 (40.4%)

    Black Wins: 17 (36.2%)

    Draw: 11 (23.4%)

@Viveks20, only one person goes on to the next round unless there is a tie in both score and tiebreak score.

    @buffalorock,

I didn't check, but I would guess that if you look at the higher rating brackets, the percentages would probably look more like what the game explorer suggests.

At the grandmaster level, black almost always starts with the idea of a draw, only trying to win if something very good happens. At this level, long complicated defensive schemes to cause a draw aren't well practiced so there is a lot less people going for a draw rather than a win.
