Does this incomplete games have affect to results in the groups (promotion)?

I agree KnowDoubt, but check out his games, he's playing like 490+ simultaneously. I usually don't have any problems with that, but this time, 5 months after the tournament started, something should be done to avoid further delays.

Since this tournament started I've been married, divorced, fathered a number of children, worn out two jackets and my ears have grown noticably bigger. Heh-hum...

group 151, does that dude from pakistan have to wait for the guy from canada to finish now that the canadain has been eliminated from possibly winning...???

Either side may claim a draw, but it is not automatic like in live chess.

There's a game (degio79 vs thomask01), from move 51 to 60, that's no threefold repetition, that's 3 times threefold repetition. Why on earth is that game still on? Please Chess.com staff, don't allow this for the sake of my mental health.

Yeah, if round 2 starts before June, I'll probably be the person holding up the round. I wory at a summer camp-ish institution in the spring, so I'll be on vacation most of the time.

i guess soon round one will be finished, maybe in three months or so. you know what i will do when round two starts? I'm so exhausted from this waiting, that i need then a long long vacation ... ;-)

I agree partially with the other members' frustrations with the vacation rules. However, in my opinion I'm not against the vacation time in general - I just think there should be a restriction of the use of your vacation time in tournaments - like a week, max. I had an opponent who was on vacation for several weeks before we finally finished our game. Chess.com I think you really need to modify your allowance of vacation time in tournaments so we can speed these up.

what i ask myself is, why did chess.com such absurd vacationsrules? what were the reasons and motivations for this? i mean they are not stupid and then do such rules ...

Take note Chess.com, as good as this site is - vacation rules are stupid. And what the *@! are players doing still playing games they started 4 months ago.?! Because they can. 'Nanas. Like the previous guy, I'm not interested anymore...

doesn't look like a tournament for 1201-1400 rated players anymore, so, don't care when'll 2nd round start

I wander:

1. how many of the players with unfinnished games in round 1, that have a chance to advance to the next round.
2. how interesting is it to be in the lead in a <1400 tournament, if your (and my) rating have passed it long time ago.
3. if it would have been more amusing to participate in tournaments with 20 players instead of 1700 players.
4. if the highest rated and lowest rated players will be grouped together in this round too.
