    Oh pls don't start that again... There are tournaments with no vacation, anyone is free to join them. Now THIS is a tournament with vacation as is clearly stated at starting page. You joined and now you please stop complaining about that.

    I think that vacations should not be allowed in a tournament .... this is disrespectful to the competition and opponents ...

    Your games will automatically be paused ("vacation") when any game has less than 1 hour remaining.  If you are playing too many games at once and don't make a move for enough games each day, they eventually will reach that 1 hour mark.

    In other words, if you have two games with 2 hours remaining, but only make a move on one of them for the day, guess what happens to all of your games one hour later, even though you played that day...

    All tied players advance if they are the highest ranked.

    Is there any chance two players to get equal scores and equal tie break points from one group? Then who is going to eliminate.

    Number of rounds can only be predicted and is not certain.  It depends on several factors including the number of players, the number of people who withdraw after winning their round but before the next round starts, and the number of people who tie for first place in each round.

    But it isn't hard to look at previous tournaments and see how many rounds they have gone.  Doing the research on your own just takes a little patience and mind skill.

    How many round not years.  I am aware that it takes awhile as it is called chess not hurry up and finish the game because everyone else has finished including myself. I think Chess.com is the best internet chess site going.  Chess is about patience and mind skill not speed or whinge.

    All you have to do is look at the previous completed tournaments and you will see that they take around 3 years to complete. And no, not all the vacationing players have been eliminated, because I'm going on vacation for a couple of weeks starting next week.

    @dogensmoon

    This is 2nd Round of the tournament. It is o.k., if the 19xx player startet within 1400-1599 and proceeded up to that level in the meantime

    best regards

    kick him, anyway;-))
