    Ok, thank you.

Technically, the 2000+ player entered when he was unrated, therefore he has a right to continue.

In my 2nd round group #6' I have 2 way over rated players. I do not think that is right. The rated player is in 2000s and another player is close to 1500. Is there anyway you can replace them? It is not fair to us who are struggling in between 1001-1200 rated players. Both players will beat everyone of us. And about time the 2nd round begins!

I love playing chess but the length of this game is incredible. Can the Admin person light a fire under the person slowing the tournament down or just remove them.

Summer vacation is over norrth of the equator, come on lets get moving!

I think they are doing it on purpose. There is no reason to hold so many people ...this is my first and last tournament of this type.

It looks like the outcome of the 2 remaining games can not change the leadership outcome of the group? So do we need to wait when 1 game may not finish for years based on the amount of vacation time both players seem to take?

In group 18, after almost 2 months of tournament, there is a player that has all his/her games in the first movements, some of them even with only one movement done. Does this make any sense?

One of the other members in my tournament grouping pointed out that it is likely Chess.com's feature that protects premium players from "timing out" that is responsible for the slow play in our current tournament  and not necessarily the player himself continually going on and off of vacation.  I was not previously aware of this feature.

So, I would like to amend my suggestion that Chess.com address the "slow play" problem this creates by making the following change to the "auto time-out save" feature:

A player can only be saved from a "time-out" by the automatic provision once in any given tournament.  When they are saved by the provision, an e-mail should be sent to the member notifying them of this and advising that they will not be auto-saved again for the duration of that tournament.

While I understand the added value this feature brings for premium members, allowing the provision to be invoked endlessly causes unnecessarily long delays in tournaments. Could one of your staff take a look at the statistics that you keep on members and see what the effect of unlimited time-outs is having on slowing down tournaments?  I suspect that my suggestion, if implemented, would greatly speed up tournament play while still allowing some additional protection and benefits for premium players.

Thanks in advance to the Chess.com staff for your time and willingness to accept constructive criticism.

Also, although I was careful to not call out the slow player in our group by name in my earlier post, that player did subsequently comment so people reading this forum are aware of the player's identity.  So, I would like to offer a public apology to Fluttershylover for accusing you of intentionally slowing down play by going on and off of vacation repeatedly during this tournament.  I now realize that it was Chess.com's auto-save feature that was doing this on your behalf since you are a premium account holder.  It was wrong of me to accuse you of something that was not your fault.

Best of luck to everyone for the remainder of the tournament!

    Regards,
    Tony
