Hi ALL

Well after 15 months, my time in this tournament has come to an end.

During this game, i have changed my car, moved house and set up a new company. My son has left home and started university and we have seen two winters and a wet summer. The British government has changed and the Euro is on its knees!

But most of all - the standard of those who staying in the tournament has improved greatly, so I suppose that is the point of this excessivvely laboured game!

Good luck to Brunk!

Someone suggested March, I thought they were joking.

Come on, I'm losing interest.

If you think this tournament is too slow, seek a faster tournament. For me this kind of tournaments with time limit of 3 dayes is perfect, becouse my life is so busy that i dont have time to be here every second. Chess.com offers different types of tournaments, choose a tournament that is good for you.

Good luck everyone.

This is too slow!

Some players do not know when they are beaten. In my group there is a game where white has a queen and 6 pawns versus a single pawn. Why does black think he can still win!?

I suggest that after say, 25 moves, that if a player gets 5 points or more adrift in a game it should be an automatic resignation. This could take a year to complete.

I agree.  From now on, I will be looking for tourneys with no vacation time and time control of 1 day per move.

This is really bad...all of the people we are waiting on have no clue what they are doing. Faster tourneys for me from now on. This is a waste of time.

Yes. The rating which applies is the one that you had when you entered the tournament.

@toad680  In the case of tied score and equal tie-break points you would both advance to the next round.

@LordEnzi- the player now rated 1687 will not be removed from the tournament, as the ratings just determine which group you start the tournament in, and are irrelevant once the tournament has started.
