It appears there are 20 players remaining in round 3 of this tournament but the Stats show 18. Any explanation?

 Zhoulez,

Buchek won Jandui. Socore = 1 but Jandui have 1 point too, so the points of buchek is 1,1  (,1 = tie break). If jandui's points = 3 so Bucek's points would be = 1,3.

Tie breaks are points that determine the order of winners in case there is a tie when using scores. Otherwise two or more players with the same score can share a position and all proceed to the next level in a competition. The strength or rating of players you win (or lose to) may determine your tie breaks. In the event a further tie remains, contestants may all be eligible to proceed unless an additional factor is applied to give priority.

A day (24 hrs) before the tournament is a safe period (as stated in the rules on tournament page) so even if your rating changes you do not have to change to another rating range section. By now all sections are full and players can't have enough time to switch. This is a way to reward those who registered early so they don't need to give way for late players after waiting so long. They get a chance to play and have fun. Good luck and play hard.

The tournament is real and it will go on as expected. It is meant for everyone to have fun but there is definitely no fooling involved. You can only try fooling your opponents on the chess board and see what happens.

I hope the tournament will be held rather than saying "No tournament! April Fool!"
