Here we get some practice with the difficult to learn Benoni Defense. With its many variations and tactical opportunities, the Benoni is a very dynamic opening. Although it is generally used amongst master-level players and above, I believe it can still be learned by lower-rated players and used to extreme effectiveness.

Player Removal Extention

Bless7103 | Sep 23, 2014, 7:20 PM

It appears that I cannot simply remove AWARDCHESS because of his unfinished games. Thus, I will attempt to contact the chess.com support staff and get this matter resolved as quickly as possible. Until then, good luck and have fun!

Player Removal

Bless7103 | Sep 23, 2014, 7:18 PM

To all the players in Benoni Practice,

It has recently come to my attention that the player AWARDCHESS is 115 rating points over the maximum allowed. He was over the limit before the start of the tournament and did not pull himself out. Thus, I must unfortunately remove him from activity in this tournament. I'm unsure of the effects of this on scores as I have not done this before, but it's for the best, to maintain integrity and the value of this tournament.
