This is an open tournament for all of you who like Chess960 (FRC) or would like to experiment with a different Chess Starting position for the first time.

You just have to know how to play chess and some basic rules about how to castle. After that, only your talent will help you to win in Random Chess. Smile

If you would like to learn more about Chess960 or play more in the future you can participate of this group:

We have useful and instructive contents, including 960Chess rules and explanations (we have a forum discussing about this tournament starting position), games databases, books, articles and much more.

It cannot be changed now: This tournament allows vacation.

It seems to be allowing vacation. Thanks!

It must be allowing vacation. I wouldn't have registered if it was no vacation. Unless it was changed in the middle of the tournament!

Is this a No-Vacation tournament? I have midterms and have put my vacation setting on and I am wondering if it will apply to games in this tournament.

No, this is 960chess and only 960 rating will be affected.

    Good luck to everyone!

Why is it that my "normal" rating appeas here instead of my 960 rating? Will these games affect my "normal" rating instead of the 960 rating then? :S

Unluckily it isn't like that. You are allowed to have only 1 tournament in progress, which means you can play games from only 1 tournament at a time, but if you finished all your games and you are waiting for the next round, you are allowed to join another tournament. I hope it's clear :)

We are at good pace... I believe we can start this tournament pretty soon. :)

thanks for joining and participating. I am sure we will enjoy great games and learn about this great chess variant.

:) Everyday you learn something new... it seems you are allowed to join both... (it might be a bug, or maybe that 1 tournament rule doesn't affect to the 960Chess as you say) Personally, I don't know and maybe it is better not to ask by now... lol

Hi Kokino, thanks for respons. I have signed to the chess960 tournment now, but strangely, Im still playing a "normal" tournment (waiting for the next round, I have advanced from the first group). Is it a bug or maybe possible to play one normal and one chess960 game?

    Hi ChrizzzKizzz,

Unfortunately, I believe it does. you can participate in any chess.com official tournaments.. but just in one organised by members. (unless you are premium member)

I hope you manage to play in it.

Hi, very nice initiative :) I have also a question:

Does this tournment include the 1-tournment limit for basic members (non premium)??

In other words can you sign for this Chess960-tournment and also participate in a "normal" chess tournment??

    Would really appreciate an answer.
