Ruprecht has just timed out on both my games. Pity he didn't withdraw two months ago and save us all a long wait

Another player has complained of this in another rank dependant tournament I am playing in and at the organiser's request the player honourably withdrew.

I feel a bit miffed I have ended up playing someone with a rating of 1648 in an under 1200 tourney. I know people's score change, but by so much! Seems unfair...

His 20 days of vaction are finally over and now he has 2 hours to move. Finally....

It's a pity that vacation time can't be restricted to a specified period, e.g 5 days, mostpeoplw would probably be able to access the Internet at some point over a 5 day period

I was staying in a 4* hotel for a social media awards dinner! Who could have anticipated an awards with a live twitter wall would be at a hotel without wifi or even that a 4* Hilton would not have wifi. iPads have no USB port and I was tied to the awards and couldn't just swan off - we won by the way :)

It certainly is frustrating.  Bad luck about your lost tournament games.  Could you not avoid that situation in future by purchasing a prepaid internet usb stick or using a public computer such as in in an internet cafe or city library if the need arises?

It's hard, when you need it you you can't always have it anyway. A couple of weeks ago I was away on a business trip and the hotel had no wifi, only LAN in the room which is no good for my iPad and I ended up timing out on 4 tournament games in tournaments I had been in for months. I wanted to cry. Vacation time was no use then. Some tournaments do go on for months and if there is no vacation time I can see how this would be a problem, but it is frustrating when you're on the end of it.

For what Pawnshop - vacations or limiting them?

I just can't see the need for it. 

I think vacation should be very limited if at all in these tornaments. Just my opinion.

One guy has two months and six days in my group.  Sheesh.
