    MW,

below is chess.com's statement on closures of cheater accounts involved in games and tournaments. in short, "no rollback". i'm not sure if it is fair or not but apparently slower players benefit from the rule.

    sollevy10,

Sure, I'd be happy to. In the words of Erik, from the official post on Cheating found here: http://www.chess.com/forum/view/community/chesscom---list-of-caught-cheaters , under the section:

What happens to a player who is found to be cheating on Chess.com?

... "Any pending games of cheaters will eventually timeout and result in a loss. But we cannot roll back results of games or tournaments, nor do we restore ratings." ...

    all the best,

i'm not sure if that is wise for the TD to do. that can result to two winners - one declared by chess.com and one by amendment of the TD. i think we should stick to the chess.com winner. if there are improvements in the rules that appear to be wise, i hope chess.com is listening.

i'm losing two points now after another one dropped out of chess.com (after i resigned our game (GazzaT)).

I agree that life *is* unfair; but I have always thought that we should do what we can to minimize its unfairness. Perhaps the TD has the power to look at the results at the end and at least mentally amend them when declaring who wins?

Mindwalk, that is true. we split our games 1-1, while you are getting the easy 2 points. anyways,  i have already accepted that life is unfair sometimes. probably next time, it's my turn to be lucky. Smile

i don't think that if we ask chess.com they will reverse the game results. i guess that if they will allow it, there is already an announcement about it since this situation in tournaments is very common.

If dantill is simply dropping out of the tournament, is there a way to simply declare all of his games losses? It's unfair that a few people get losses against him when the others, simply by virtue of not having lost yet, get automatic wins.

i know your strength Mindwalk. sounding like you are an underdog will not work with me. no room for complacency when playing against you. though my chess skill is only as much but i am hoping for luck so i can give you a good entertaining game. win or lose. good luck!

i'm ready to play my 1e4 2f4 but your Scandinavian Def made my 2f4 not possible.

Maybe I shouldn't have chosen *now*, when I'm playing mostly stronger players than I, to try out different openings than I usually play. We'll see.
