Accurate Predictions

Posted by K-Huang on 11/30/11 at 5:46 PM

ANNOUNCEMENT:

For the fun of it and it's usefulness, I'll post a forum about the information on the play of everyone who goes to the second round. Most of judgement will be on games, the player has played in the tournament especially with me in round 2 (or 3!). Hope you guys enjoy it! (That's like a bonus for you and extra work for me) Laughing

BTW 28 games left. Let's wrap up round 1 (or the round I call round timeouts) and go to a more exciting round 2 (where we can see some real competitive play until we reach round 3, the decider for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd) Good-luck to all and have a great time on chess.com!

Winners:

#1 1st Place knight499 (1689)

#2 2nd Place swadhin1 (1393)

#3 3rd Place fischer3 (1453)

I joined them already. Also, I probably won't be joining any other team matches any time soon. At least not until the 40 games I have going becomes 20.

the chess team has 3 vote chess games going on, and K279 and I are the only ones praticipating. you guys gotta join in!

    swadhin1

In this tournament, the third place trophy looks bigger than the first and second place trophy. Guess Kevin couldn't find a smaller rook.

    Akatsuki64

That's what I was thinking. That's not how it goes however.

    swadhin1

Third place should be the third highest ranked piece, the rook!

    Akatsuki64

No, I got first place, so I got the king. At the howard county library the third place trophy was a knight on a trophy stand.

    swadhin1

Which library? They gave you a knight glued to a trophy stand?

    Akatsuki64

In the tournament I played in yesterday at the library the 3rd place trophy was a knight.

If Cakeman wins his game against joefu3, but loses his game against knight499, then he will be 23-9-0. If fischer3 loses to knight499, then he will be 22-8-2. So which one of them would go to the top three?

    Cakeman

I was out of state okay Cakeman?

    rayricefan

It is not my fault I lost on time

    Akatsuki64

    I never trusted Kevin's predictions.

    Cakeman

I beat everyone in my group that was predicted to win. Kevin's predictions were not accurate

    rayricefan

If so, will there be a round three?

    rayricefan

    So, who wins round two?

    Cakeman

I'm pretty sure that no one won their games by checkmate, only on time, excluing Kevin HuangUndecided

Hey, Kevin. I have a question for you. Did you recently play in an adult chess tournament.
