In contrast to many tournaments, which include as many as possible in the pool of eligible players, this is exclusive in that most players are not eligible.

The idea is that after 100 completed games players should have fairly stable ratings. Although not guaranteed, players who advance in this tournament will be more likely to still be near the rating they started with.

Players much over 1700 will be removed at the start. I will make an executive decision about who to remove when the time comes. To ease this decision the upper limit for registering is 1675 not 1700.

Older Exclusive Offset tournaments: 701-11001101-1300 and 1301-1500.

Older tournaments with similar conditions: 1001-1400, 1401-16001601-18001801-20002001-2200.

When a tournament lasts many months you can be sure some players will improve. There is always a chance of a player improving much more than the others. The alternative is shorter tournaments.

Let's hope though the tournament has provided some competitive games.

Finally, congratulations to all improvers.

Looks like a big fish got through your net TD, difficult to keep them all out.
