Chess Random 960 is derived from the chess legendary Bobby Fischer.  He encouraged all players to play random positions for better training.  In fact, he had always insisted that this kind of random positions to be part of World Tournaments.  This innovative game is for us players not to memorize Opening Theory, but rather understanding it.  We expect more creativity and raw talents on this very beautiful Fischer 960.

This is dedicated to the Great Bobby Fischer....

Timeout of 35% is given an opportunity to play.

Good luck....

Agree with mrredus - I know that the time limit is 14 days but do players have to take the full 14 days for EVERY move?!

Looks like Christmas 2013 is more realistic :)

Looks like I'll be moving on. I just hope players in the next round don't take the full time per move, I would like to get to the end of the tournament before Christmas 2012 lol =0)

Oh dear it looks like we are being hit by this sites prediliction for accusing players of cheating - several players at least removed by the site in the latest purge of 700 accounts

The trouble comes when the second rounds do hit as your number of active games can suddenly explode out of nowhere !

Do these tournaments ever end? I have never seen a second round because somebody is always on vacation :(

Players with 100+ games tend to make moves as they rise to the top of their list and therefore 14 day tournaments sometimes have players who regularly take the full time allotment.

However don't worry there are plenty of games in this tournament to play so just enjoy.

Sounds weird.  But it wasn't only you (NineofWands) you game with Cf4598 not found in your archive, also to Master3L.  Anyway, a bonus points for you and the group....

cf4598 withdrew and even though we had played 15 or so moves and the game showed as resigned it does not appear on our stats or rating. I wonder if this is a flaw in chess.com logic. Actually very odd as everyone's games except against me shows on his archive??

Good luck Michel.  It's really fascinating to play different positions of our major pieces.  However, the same procedure in castling.
