It's more of a learning thing I think really, I doubt anyone is actually bragging when they win.

You guys need computers to play me. At least consult an opening book or a database. I thought this would be an unlimited tournament so I expected computers.

personally i think most of the people complaining are probably cheaters themselves, just were not as good at cheating. half the people in this tournament are using some kind computer to help them, which makes you just a secretary for a computer and then some how you get proud when you win.

maybe lets abstain from openly announcing if you were using an engine. I think it would be so much more fun playing an opponent and not knowing in advance if you are going to be badly bloodied or not :)

isn't it annoying having to open the program for a minute or less to make 1 move?

He never actually cheated on chess.com. Supposedly he had cheated previously on other chess sites for many years. His only game on this site was a vote chess game vs. all of chess.com which should have ended in a draw, but his program (which was extremely materialistically hungry, as many chess programs used to be) blundered in the endgame and gave chess.com an eventual win. Cheater_1 resigned but however after a few months tried to rewrite history and play it off like Erik forced him to resign. This was unnecessary slander, and it was about time his profile got closed (though he quit willing in true cheater_1 fashion trying to hide from the truth).

So yeah, unrated tournament, you can use a chess engine if you want, as cheater_1 would. Maybe just tell you opponent before the game if your using or not so they know what they are up against.

Anyway, cool that someone organized a relaxed, no stress tournament.  Good experience for all!

Did the person actually call themselves "Cheater", and then cheat?  What, using a computer program or something?  Wow.
