#2 iFrancisco (2190)
This is a tournament for Redditors of all skill levels. I only ask that you commit to playing through each game if you're going to sign up. Each player will have up to 2 days per turn.
EDIT: WINNER GETS 1 MONTH OF REDDIT GOLD
Round 2 finally started!
I do not have kicking powers unfortunately. One day Round 2 will start, and then hopefully all of this delaying will be a thing of the past.
Does peerson who created toruney not have kicking powers?
So the guy who went on vacation for over a month is actually playing his games now (so that'll take a while), but someone else has gone on vacation for two weeks (in a totally lost endgame, too), so it'll be a while longer until the next round starts.
since some players took a ridiculous amount of vacation time, their games aren't finished yet
is this still happening? why the $%@& hasn't round two started yet?
umm, I will never have to face Francisco again until the finals right?
when we have an odd number of players one player will probably be given a one-point-bye (basically a free win).
csq_ still has 1 month, 9 days of vacation time left... how's that even possible!
And I have no idea what they do with the tie. It does say that you both have qualified.
So the issue of us all being trolled with the 2 month delay aside, I've got a more interesting question.
The pairings for round 2 will be sets of 5, right? Well, our fun little tie in group 11 means we're going to have 41 players. So what happens there?
That's correct. If you've already made it to Round 2, now you just have to wait. It may take a while.
congrats! so, do we just have to wait it out? the round won't end without completing the games, right?
Thats nothing. 1 of the guys I'm against has 1 month+24 days left of vacation time... :/Also, I did end up beating the NM :D
So my opponent took extra "vacation time" and now has 20 days left to move...
http://www.chess.com/echess/game?id=56862164Might beat a NM!!!!!! :D
This is fun watching myself fall ever-so-slowly in the standings :D
I snuck into Round 2 by a nose.
OH MAN! I might steal a game off of 2216 NM! So giddy!!!!!!
I believe tiebreaks are the sums of the scores of the opponents that you beat. So picking on DOFO (since he's currently top), he beat someone with 3 points twice, someone else with 3 points twice, someone with 1 point once, and someone with 0 points twice. Thus, his tiebreak score is 2x3 + 2x3 + 1x1+2x0=13.
So how do the tiebreaks work?
>Woohoo, I'm in first!
