The tournament has finished and we have a tie at the top. As previously mentioned, in this situation the lower ranked player takes the prize.

1. SirTzusky

2. Rekees

3. Manchero

4. Chesscyborg

Well, there's nothing to be gained by either party worrying about it. If you don't feel you performed your best, for any reason, then you are welcome to a rematch. (If so you'll need to let me know rather than sending a challenge since I'm unavailable for challenges currently). Other than that I don't feel there's anything else left to say on the matter. If you do have any further comments or questions I'll be happy to respond to them for you, although maybe less promptly. Thanks.

I had simply lost my interest, given your distatse. Your 'tone' in your earlier message was quite clear.

Perfectly chilled the whole time Quaff. You should realise how tiresome it is when people fail to do basic things such as read the information provided, causing me to explain it several times to ease the concerns of other members. Despite that, I still enjoyed the games and am happy to say that our first game was a great struggle that I had to work extremely hard at to overcome your early advantage. I don't feel you did yourself justice in the second game. I hadn't made any contact with you, so was surprised to find that I was blocked from sending you a 'good game' trophy. Moving forward I have no problem with yourself nor any of the other players who incorrectly entered the tournament. In the future I will consider an invite only format to avoid the problems apparently caused by the impulse to click that people generally have. In this tournament I just have to perform a few extra admin tasks, i.e. withdrawing a few players. Enjoy your chess.

Mancheroio glad to see you have managed to 'chill out a bit' about myself (and a couple of others being in your Tournament) shame you couldn't have extended this sort of courtesy before you had qaulified to the next round.

group 6- illeye, jwccrane, quaffy - thanks for the games, enjoyed them; particularly the 1st game with quaff(could've gone either way).

to clarify, the non-group members will be removed and therefore the final round may consist of less players than expected. some players have not joined nor replied when i have questioned this. i do not intend to change the rules simply because some participants in the tournament do not like them. as said previously, if you do not like the rules of a tournament - do not join.

in the event of a tie on points then the tie break method will be used, as standard on chess.com. in the event of a tie and equal tie break scores, each participant will advance. if this is the case in the final round then the lower rated player will be deemed to have performed better in terms of personal achievement, thus that player would receive the membership. any queries or comments on this, please post here.

i've had a couple of ppl post or message me with regards to the tournament being for members only...it's quite simple really; for those concerned who don't like the idea WHY JOIN THE TOURNAMENT IN THE FIRST PLACE?? For anyone with a high enough rating to fancy their chances of progressing from round 1, I would suggest you should be sufficiently intelligent to be able to read the information provided before you joined up. I would have thought comprehending the simple condition of being a member would not have been too challenging. Therefore all I can say is...don't bother posting or sending me messages (or even talking to me about it during the game), accept that you've made a mistake and either withdraw or be withdrawn.

wojytla - your comment is pathetic. as the tournament director I don't mind how long the tournament takes. I'm patient. Other players prefer a faster pace, if you are going to inconvenience them simply because you failed to read the requirements of the tournament then you are a very sad individual. I will make no further response to you, but you should know that you will be withdrawn from the tournament before the next round commences, if you qualify for it.

Well since I am one of the non army group members I will have to make sure I move fast, :), or not since it is so important to you to have only R.A. members.
