Hello and welcome to the Rocky Mountain High (1450 - 1650) tournament.  The tournaments that I create are simply for those of use who would like to learn and become stronger players within a tournament framework.

I have found that while I learn a lot from players who are much stronger than I am, I learn more from those who are closely rated to myself.  I seem to find that I am more challenged to player smarter and more thoughfully when I know that I have a chance to win the match as opposed to when I feel that I have little chance to win.

When you know that your opponent will make similiar tactical mistakes you play more thoughtfully, at least that is my opinion.

Good luck and thanks for participating. One more thing, please do not use your vacation time, it is inconsiderate to the other players.

Suggestion, it would be nice to make the table less wide so that one could see the entire last two columns (they are obscured by the Alerts box).
