an unexpected win for me in this number 6 tournament. Only just scraped through..thanks to all opponents for some really interesting games.

Speedy 3/6 starts on May 1

Speedy 4/6 starts on Aug 1

Speedy 5/6 starts on Oct 1

Speedy 6/6 starts on Dec 1

The Speedies are invite only tournaments.

Speedy 1/6 in January will be:

-         for previous tournament winners

-         in rating range of 1700-2100

-         with average time per move < 6 hours

-         7 players will play 12 games each

-         no vacation

-         1 day / move.

At first stage I’ve sent 9 invitations and 3 of them (in range 1785-1900) have not been answered yet. So I shall keep the door open for them for a while before inviting any more players.

If someone would get below 1700 or above 2100, those players shall not be removed until the 5^th of November. In other words, it does not count actually that much, what your rating is now or in a couple of next weeks, but the crucial date for rating limit is the 5^th of November, the last day before the tourney starts.
