Yea; once the tourney begins, your rating has no bearing on your ability to compete.

I thought 14 days was wierd but it doesn't bother me a bit.  Most people seem to be going at a good pace.  What's the hurry anyway?

I'm new to tournaments so forgive the dumb question - I only have one tournament game on at the moment.  Is that about normal for this phase? (40% complete)

another thing that is probably worth doing is kicking off all the games - black and white at the same time - i'm on moves 3 and 4 in two of my matchups - still the first games so we are going to be here a while, played both games against one of the guys in my group playing at a decent speed but 14 days between moves is kind of ridiculous and a few long games in each group will bring the tournament to a grinding halt which is especially tough on the guys in the groups that are playing at a decent speed.

i agree wrt 14 days, what would be a whole lot better, if possible would be 3 day moves and the ability to take up to 14 days holiday each round of the tournament either in one block or several blocks.  3 days per move should be plenty of time

14 days too long for a tournament. I have hardly made a move in some games. I know we all have busy lives but if you commit to a tournament then play it, or have the decency to withdraw rather than keeping everyone else waiting for weeks to complete a group or match. I have someone in my group at the moment who has gone on vacation three times already ! He is either very rich or taking the p***. comments welcome.

Hello everybody. I wonder what happens after round 1? There is a round 2 ? With whom?

I would be grateful if someone could answer me because I do not really understand how the tournament works.

Thank you.
