Hi, we have decided to try this new format for TFK tournaments. With only 2 players per group, either one or both will go through to the next round. Subsequent rounds almost certainly will have byes, randomly decided by the computer, so you may be lucky. This tournament should be different and fun so Good Luck :-)

If all this sounds like fun, come and look at http://www.chess.com/groups/home/the-friendly-knights  where we run these chess.com tourneys as well as our own Ladder, Round Robins and Knockout competitions..

Cheers

Bob

    Hi Folks,

I have just found out that the announcement is sending you msgs as well as posting when you log in to the tourney. I am sorry, I thought that function was switched off. I will post in here from now on until I can resolve the issue with chess.com.

4 of the 18 groups have now completed, congratulations to all those who have gone through, commiserations to those who have missed out this time. Of the 4 that have completed, in 3, both parties have gone through. This is much higher than I expected, but with only 4 groups completed, the sample size is small. In the other pairs tourneys that I am running, 2 are on target for 1/3rd of the groups to finish 1-1 and one group is running at 55% All this means that I am probably better at chess than prediction, but the margin is slim :-)

    Cheers

Hi folks, this one is a little slow getting off the ground, but don't worry, 3 of the 4 that I posted last week in this format are now running, so we should get there :-)

    Cheers
