Tournament start!

Posted by steevmartuns on Sunday, Feb 22 at 1:18pm

Okay, we have 8 people and it's been plenty long enough - let's start the tournament!

3 days per move, you'll start with 7 games, one against each other player; when one game ends, you play that player again as the other color. Good luck!

Winners:

#1 1st Place Spiffe (2153)

#2 2nd Place albatros1 (2323)

#3 3rd Place tonygreenQQ (1912)

A theme tourney for those interested in learning the tricky and seldom-seen Leningrad Dutch against the Queen's Pawn opening.

Two games against each opponent, one at a time. Only those with at least 25 games finished and low timeouts. Good luck!

Hey all, the tournament is nearly over! I hope everyone had fun and learned a bit about this opening.

I have a request for you folks: can you message me a link to your best game(s) of the tournament? I'd like to post a forum topic overviewing the tournament's games to help others learn about how to play the Leningrad Dutch. Thanks!

Fast players here -- a week and a half into the tournament, and most of the other games are done!  I must be a big slacker. Smile

That's exactly what I was thinking when I made this. I've been stuck on the Robatsch defense for a while now, so it's time to branch out.
