Holy Crap!  I have my work cut out for me now!  My group has me outgunned....  Vegas has put my odds of winning at a million to 1 shot vs field.  I thought about betting a dollar on myself, but no point in wasting it!

In the other tournaments I have participated in, we played two games with each of the other players in our group but we played them at the same time. Are we playing these one after the other?

You might get more to sign up if people knew the tournament would definitely be running and would definitely be starting soon.

I am fine with closing registration once the tournament starts. That sounds like a good idea and it might encourage a few more to make the decision to join the tournament by the starting date.

Maybe you should set a date to start instead of a lower quota like 20 or 50.  May 1 might be a good date to begin.

Once we begin wouldn't you have to set a cut-off date to join. Say May 10.

That trophy of the NBA's is called the Larry O'Brien trophy in honor of the former NBA commisioner. It has been called The Larry O'Brien Trophy since 1984. Larry O'Brien also served as Lyndon B. Johnson's postmaster general from 1965 to 1968. Just a tidbit of useless information...

I thought I'd feature what I think are the greatest championship trophies that don't necessarily give away what sport it is for. For example: Yes, everyone knows, or should know just because of the enormity of the Stanley Cup trophy that it is for hockey. But it isn't like the Vince Lombardi trophy that is in the shape of a football or the NBA championship trophy, and there is a name for it but I just don't know. The NBA's trophy is the basketball over the net and cylinder. And if one doesn't know the MLB's World Series trophy, then they are not even a casual fan of baseball. Forgive my constant digression. So for 1st I've selected Lord Stanley's Cup, since it is worldly. For 2nd I chose MLB's championship trophy and for 3rd a chess trophy.
