Hi all,

This is the 2nd in a new series of tourneys and is for players rated 1067 - 1198.ANY PLAYERS OVER 1198 AT THE START OF THE TOURNEY WILL BE REMOVED!!!

The new format is 100 players,4/group,3 days/move,2 concurrent games/opponent and 2 to advance from each group,unless there are ties,then all tied players will advance from their group to the next round.I've changed the format to give you all more games to playSmile.

Vacation time IS allowed.

The tourney will start in 2 weeks from the creation date or as soon as we have 100 eligible players,whichever is the sooner.

Also,if any players would like to join either or both of my great groups,Wallyjack's Wonderful Wizards Of Oz and Wallyjack's Premium Members Group,then I'd be delighted to welcome them.Here are the links:-

    Analysis:

    All of the members in Group 1 have a score of at least 13. Currently johnlt77 is #3 in the standings, zhubin is #5, and I am #8. Alas, it's likely only two of us move on. 

    All of Group 2 have been to a group of 3 before. However, this group contains the bottom 2 still active, waynedickison2 and skyeparks, and the #9 player, Bakery85. Expect to see a weaker player in Round 5.

    Group 3 has the top 2, BestinClass and Cian_Kearns. They are joined by electricair, currently #4, and #12 homestyle28. With 3 of the top 5, this is a group that we should keep eyes on.

    Group 4 contains AndyA13 and damiencalloway, the #6 and #7 competitors. They are joined by rising star #10 Voodoooo and #11 DazzaJames. A wide variety of ratings are in this group.

     

    Note: I still have 2 games to go. This may change the pairings.

    Why would I resign to an U1000 guy? Stop being impatient. If you really want a faster tournament join one with "No Vacation" turned on.

    Look,BestinClass,I know how frustrating it is when players are "on vacation" and haven't made a move for weeks/months,but this happens in lots of tourneys and there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING the TD can do about it! Also consider this,the player may be ill,seriously ill or,God forbid,dead!So,mate,have some patience and as sure as eggs are eggs the tourney WILL eventually progress to the next roundSmile.

    Grandmaster3141 if u resign u move on and who ever the tournamont director is please do something about the person in group 16 who isnt making there move and hasnt made there move for 3 weeks.
