YOU KNOW SAURAV GANGULY????????????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've played Illingwort here on chess.com His tactics are amazing and fast. Wise choice to close the position in game!
@ GM : almost GM now ? wow he's fast, he's gonna represent aussie in the future matches I guess haha
wow nice openings
Max will be a GM soon He is strong and dedicated to the game! I think he has already 2 GM norms
Seemed an insurmountable uphill battle for black after decimating the kingside pawn chain, with a quite clear & well illuminated path to the "W". Super 101 on punishing French king-side pawn base, denying the black king safe harbor and converting multiple advantages of piece-play & White's massive pawn-chain spearhead directly in the center, ...where the black king found himself herded. Big time nice job & thx!
It'll help me a lot, thanx General!!
oh you won against that guy ?? Wow, max becomes an IM now, before he was a FM, I still remember he beat me up good at NSW rapid haha
Nice. Thank you.
Excellent video. Great game. Nice general themes against the French.
at the very end. that queen sacerfice is a classical way of rage quitting in a chess game. :)
Beautifull game, Thank you
That was very well said, thank you, dzindzifan!
this was both fun and instructive ... so many tactics against the pawn chain it was like you broke a dam and the water just flooded down !
Knight on e3 was a beast I have always placed that night on g3 in the advanced variation of caro and closed French, but no longer will
very very instructive...
This was a delightful demonstration of pawns power in chess this reminds me of Andre Danican Philidor and his famous phrase pawns are the soul of chess! Tx a lot
by GM Dejan Bojkov
In this highly instructive strategical battle, GM Bojkov takes on one of Australia's most promising young stars, IM Max Illingworth. With little preparation, Dejan steers the game into a completely locked up, French pawn structure, hoping to avoid tactics. Does Dejan succeed, or does the game become a total attacking mess? Follow the game to the end, and enjoy the fireworks!
Players: Bojkov, Dejan
vs. Illingworth, Max
French Defense: Tarrasch Variation, Closed Variation (C05)
