in the queens gambit accepted line, should one first go for capturing the pawn on c4 or provide further support to the pawn on d4?

At age 14, Daniel earned the status of U.S.C.F. National Master, an achievement that was a record for Arizona chess players at the time. Daniel was ranked in the Top 10 for his age in the United States every year from the age of 12 - 21years old, and at one point he was the highest rated 19-year old in the country.
