Very nice game!!!

Thanks, Melik, great game. You kept saying ...26 Be8! was brilliant/difficult, we could not find it in 10 minutes. Well, I saw it instantly, in less than 1 minute, because it is completely thematic. The hard move for me was 24...Qxf5 because I did not know if the endgame was winning or not (I didn't see 26. Rd7 Ne5!), I erroneously thought whites Rooks could get active and put up a fight. I was impressed with how Zierk wrapped the game up quickly and efficiently. I saw many of the moves played in this game, but the mark of a great player is that they see**all** of them! Thanks for a nice game.

That last one ended in a draw in exactly the same position as Amanov vs. Zierk after 17 moves.

A golden game by one of GM Khachiyan's "golden boys"! Today Melik reviews another great performance by one of his students. Here we watch as FM Steven Zierk takes down IM Amanov on the black side of a French Defense. After a brilliant shot on the kingside (g5), black's initiative takes over. Surprisingly, white never really has a chance to recover from not playing Qc1 at the right time. Zierk finishes the game off in style.
