I play always the london system with whites. I really like this oppening, it's flexible, defensive and there is some attacks for whites on h7, with de bishop d3.

What a beautiful pawn promotion tactic. Alex pointed out to reasons why it worked: one, the bishop's control over the b8 square, and two, black's own pawn preventing the his rook from controlling the d8 square along the d-file. There is one more reason why this tactic worked; Black's queen on d5 was undefended!

This game demonstrates the true philosophy of the London -- excellent position play, which leads to sharp tactical possibilities.  Thanks for a great lesson.

As a club player who knows the Torre, Colle, Trompowski systems for White, I enjoyed this related opening "London system" video very much. Thank you!
